About this directory
What SchoolBoardHQ is
SchoolBoardHQ is the verified peer network for America's K-12 school board members. This public directory is a free service we maintain so families, districts, journalists, and board members themselves can see who serves on each board.
Looking up your board?
This directory lists every K-12 school board member we have on record so families and community members can see who represents them. Names, roles, and term dates come from each district's own public board page.
Are you on the board?
SchoolBoardHQ is the verified peer network for school board members. Claim your listing to message colleagues across the country, see how neighboring boards handled the same decisions, and control how the public can reach you.
Run a district?
We crawl public board pages quarterly. If anything looks out of date, we will refresh it the next time we sync — and you can email us with a correction in the meantime. Districts pay nothing for this directory.
Reporting on K-12 governance?
Every directory entry links back to the district's official source page so you can verify before you cite. Aggregate stats are free to use with attribution.

Frequently asked
Where does this data come from?
We crawl the public board pages published by each district. Names, roles, term dates, and the district's own contact links come from the source page; we never republish anything that was not already public.
How often is it refreshed?
Districts are recrawled on a rolling quarterly cadence, with priority refreshes after elections and reported changes. Every district page shows the last time we saw a change.
My information is wrong. How do I fix it?
Email a correction to corrections@schoolboardhq.com with a link to your district's board page and we will update the directory on the next crawl. If you are the board member, you can also claim your listing inside the app and edit it directly.
Is this an official government site?
No. SchoolBoardHQ is an independent peer network. The directory is a free public service that aggregates information districts already publish on their own sites.
