Account deletion

How to delete your SchoolBoardHQ account, and what happens when you do.

Delete your account in the app

Open SchoolBoardHQ, go to your Profile tab, and tap the gear icon to open Settings, then Delete account. You’ll be asked to confirm with your current password, and your deletion is then scheduled — you can keep using the app during the grace period below, or sign out right away if you’d rather.

The 30-day grace period

Your account and its data are permanently deleted 30 days after you request deletion. To change your mind, sign back in before then and go to your Profile tab → gear icon → Settings → Delete account again — you’ll see a "Cancel deletion" option there instead of the delete flow.

What gets deleted

Your profile, verification record, connections and connection requests, saved items, notifications, feedback and feature requests, referrals, and AI-feature usage records are all permanently removed. Your board-member seat is released back to unclaimed.

What is retained or anonymized

Community posts and comments you wrote stay visible to preserve other members’ threads, but are no longer attributed to you (the author is shown as "Deleted user"). District documents you uploaded to the Board Document Library stay in the library for your district, no longer attributed to you. Public board-member directory data originates from public state/district sources and is not part of your app account.

Can't sign in?

If you can no longer sign in to request deletion yourself, tell us the email on the account and why you'd like it deleted. A SchoolBoardHQ admin will confirm and process the request.
