What is SchoolBoardHQ?

SchoolBoardHQ is the platform for America's K-12 school board members. It combines a verified directory, secure messaging, and a district view so board members can connect with peers and stay informed about the colleagues they serve with.

Who can join SchoolBoardHQ?

SchoolBoardHQ is built for elected and appointed school board members serving on K-12 school boards across the United States. During sign-up, we verify your identity using official board records to ensure a trusted community.

How does identity verification work?

When you create an account, we ask for your name and school district. We compare this information with official board records. If we find a confident match, your account is verified automatically. If not, you can still use the app with limited features while we review your information.

How do I message another board member?

Navigate to the My Board tab to see your fellow district members. Tap on a member to view their profile, then start a conversation. All messages are private and only visible to the participants in the conversation.

Why can't I edit my board member information?

Board member details like your role, seat, and term dates come from official school board records. This keeps board context accurate across the platform. You can edit your personal profile information such as display name, bio, and phone number from the Profile tab.

How is my data protected?

We take data security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use role-based access controls, audit logging, and platform-native secure storage. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion by emailing support@schoolboardhq.com with your account email and name. Your account and personal data will be removed within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer to meet public records obligations.
